Bump. Re-reading this thread from last year. I don't really have anything to add, but I'm so glad that it's finally summer in Chicago. It's
been in the 80s all week but I haven't turned on my AC yet - I'm still thawing out from our cold spring.

Up until this past weekend, our temperature hadn't stayed above 70 for more than a day. It's been a miserable spring. I had to wear a jacket for the
first half of June.
I'm so glad that it's finally warm! I actually wore shorts on Sunday for the first time this year (in Chicago anyway). We'll have perfect weather from now until mid-October. |

The temperature in my apartment has been slowly creeping up all week. It got up to 79 last night (with the windows open and ceiling fans on), but sweating
still feels kind of good to me. I'll turn on the AC when it gets up to 80 inside.

if i am outside in the summer, i kind of expect to sweat, so i dont mind it. I actually like running around in the summer time. Sitting around in my house and
sweating is another story. i have a window AC in my bedroom, but the rest of the house is opened windows and fans. i refuse to buy additional AC units because
i dont want to spoil myself.
My street is lined with these huge trees that kind of creates a canopy that keeps the front of the house extremely cool. i havent worn shoes (except to work) in about a month. Beers in the summer time taste so much better than beers during any other season. Grilling is so easy. i havent used my stove/oven in about a month |

but sweating still feels kind of good to me. hmmm...if only I didn't have a wife. I believe my A/C at least when I have been home, as been on since the beginning of April/Late March. |
