NBA announces that the 2010-2011 cap is going to shrink. Could be as high as 10 million lower than what teams were anticipating the past few years.
Chances of Lebron leaving on his own now are really low because teams won't have room to sign two max contracts. Hopefully the Cavs can pull a blockbuster trade and keep Lebron and another star player either through Bird rights or by taking a multi-year deal in exchange for Z's expiring. This NBA off-season has been crazy so far. Between the economy forcing non-contending teams to shed payroll and everyone trying to free up space for 2010 and now this, it's been pretty fun to keep up on. Things will probably slow down a little now once the FA's start signing. The trade deadline could easily get wild again due to this cap change. |

the LA news said last night that Ariza is now heavily considering the cavs... i tend to doubt that, but he hasn't officially signed with the rockets yet,
has he?

Cavs re-sign Andy. And add Anthony Parker. While it would have been great to have added another really good piece like C.V. or Artest, they just didn't
have room for it.
So they've added: Shaq Anthony Parker And they've lost: Ben Wallace Sasha Pavlovic Wally Szerbiak Nice upgrades with Shaq replacing Wallace and Parker replacing Sasha and they'll be able to replace Wally with the bi-annual exemption. And they could still make some trades, though I'm not sure if that will happen until the trading deadline nears. |

yeah, confiscating those tapes really doesnt make LeBron look good. so he got dunked on, big deal. nobody would have thought lesser of him. what he should have
done is played locked down D on this dude, and went at him everytime LeBron got the ball. kind of like "this is what you get, if you think you can hang
with the big boys"

Stupid that the tapes got confiscated but it was by a Nike official, not by Lebron. Also, Danny Green was guarding the kid, Lebron was just under the basket
when he dunked.

How does this make Lebron an "asshat"? It was Nike that took the videos and it was spelled out clearly to the press that they were not allowed to
video the pick up games. Never mind all the charity work he does, how everyone in the league loves him. Somebody dunked on him and you can't watch it on
youtube...might as well be OJ.

seriously, it's a non issue. nobody made a deal when jordan got beat by a chick and nike tried to shut up the media. nike pulled the plug, not lebron. i
just hate how the media made it out like "oh man, lebron got schooled and is embarrassed". when, in reality, a) he wasn't even guarding the dude
and b) he didn't even make the request to pull the tapes.
it was nike that didn't want to see their golden child lose market value. plain and simple (same thing that happened with jordan vs. the girl) |

Did you guys read the article at all? Lebron called the Nike guy over after he got dunked on. Yeah Lebron said nothing about making sure the tape wasn't
shown. According to that article, the cameramen were allowed to video anything they wanted to at that camp, no questions asked. The only time anybody had an
issue with it, was after Lebron was dunked on.
Does Lebron getting dunked on mean he sucks? No. But Lebron not shaking the hands of the Magic, not going the elimination game post game interview, and now this, makes Lebron seem like an asshat. |

The one wrinkle to this story that I have a tough time believing is that if it was a "no camera" policy that they were able to get cameras in and
that it was the first time in 4 years someone has done so.
I've been to events like these, it's harder getting cameras in than getting a gun on a plane. They damn near strip search you. Thats my only question. Either way, it's old news. Anyone can be schooled by anyone at anytime if everthing lines up for them. Nike and/or LeBron should have just released it and let it go. |

Do you understand that he wasn't guarding the kid? Green was, Lebron just happened to be under the hoop when the dude got to the rim. So retarded to try to
make an issue out of this. As for the not shaking hands the NHL is the only major league where players shake hands with each player on the other team, MLB,
NBA, and NFL players don't always do it.
