Adam Morrison has a ring, which is awesome
The best part of the Magic / Lakers matchup was that either Adam Morrison or JJ Reddick would be walking away with a ring.

yeah, sorry, i should have clarified. Shaq had D-Wade that year, who did his best Michael Jordan impression, and who was arguably more important than Shaq on that team. Shaq has played with 2 hall of fame guards in Kobe and D-Wade (potential HOFer). That's why I say, Shaq has never won one on his own, at least not to the degree that Kobe just did. Who cares? Shaq won a ring without Kobe, Kobe won a ring without Shaq. Shaq's a lot older too. So Kobe and Shaq played on both great and good teams with and without each other. Kobe was FAR from being on his own. He was on his own when Shaq left and the Lakers weren't doing much. They made it to the finals once and got bitch slapped by Detroit. I think they even ducked out in the first round a few times. Then they picked up Gasol and they made the finals last year and won the championship this year. Thoughts on the Shaq to Cleveland talk? Anyone?.....Anyone?.......Bueller? It's a great deal. You're essentially trading Wallace for Shaq for one year. The Cavs salary cap situation is a lot worse this year than I thought it was, so this might be the closest they can come to getting a big impact player. The mid-level exemption and bi-annual exemption aren't likely to yield anything great. |

I've just been annoyed by Shaq recently because he ALWAYS has to be in the headlines, and then i heard that if he goes to Cleveland (or anywhere for that matter) he's going to want a 2 year extension.. |

Shaq is a Cleveland Cavalier. It only cost us Big Ben and Sasha. Great trade for the Cavs. Sucks they didnt pull off this deal mid season though.

shaq had one of his best seasons in recent years last year.
he's a free agent next year and will be looking for one last decent contract. seeing as the cavs front court was Z, Andy and Ben Wallace for much of last year, having a big body will be a nice change even if it is an old shaq. |

This changes a lot actually, Shaq will see limited time all year splitting time with Z, his joints and Z's will both benefit. This trade was made to beat
Orlando. As for the Doozbags post, this trade also puts the Cavs in better position to resign Lebron, not to mention how much happier Bron Bron is that this
trade actually went through.

This deal also makes the idea of bringing in Sheed more palatable. Not sure if his price tag will be the MLE though.
LeBron was able to get some crazy assists in to Varejao and Wallace, so I'm expecting some fireworks with Shaq in there. |
