1. Celtics, like the Cavs and Magic, will be a 1-3 seed again next year, with or without KG. The East is a bunch of .500 teams. And if you remember they were the best team in the league the first 2 months. They've also played about 500 games and then did the celebratory circuit in a year and a half, so next season should be more rested for the long haul.

2. LeBron won't stay or leave because of money. He has a ton of it, and either way will get a ton more. It will come down to where and how can he become a bigger star, in and out of basketball. That is the reason the Chinese owners help him, but also the reason Cleveland hurts him. The thing Cleveland has on their side is LeBron's loyalty, 6 years into his pro career he is the ultimate league spokesman, teammate loving, fan friendly, supporting alum (high school) kind of guy still.

3. Tim Duncan will not play for any other team in his career, you can pretty much put your money down on that.

nba rescinded howard's 6th technical from game 4.

good. they actually did something right for once regarding their horrid officiating.

i thought the Nets recently announced their plans to sell the team and that they definitely were not moving to brooklyn?

My unrealistic ~~plan~~ notion...

...is that lebron doesn't leave cleveland AND takes a home town discount in order to get another top tier player into cleveland to help get them over the hump and start rolling in the championship trophies. especially if they lose this year. i think lebron has such a healthy ego in that if he couldn't get cleveland a championship it would gnaw on him. if he were ever to leave for another city, his legacy would forever be that he had to leave to get it done when so many other of the game's greatest never had to (ie MJ, bird, magic, duncan, kobe).

worst way to end this season. i'm not sure what the cavs can do this offseason but it was pretty apparent that NOT trading for shaq when they had the chance was a bad idea. the magic were the worst possible matchup. they have the dominant center who the cavs can't defend and a big backcourt vs. the cavs who have two relatively short guards. i was hoping for a miracle in game 6 but it just wasn't going to happen. lebron got jobbed on some calls but it wouldn't have mattered. had they played boston, they'd be in the finals with a legit shot against the lakers.

in order to have dominated the magic, they would have either needed someone like shaq who could mess with howard and provide secondary scoring or someone like ron artest who could help lebron shutdown the perimeter. i don't know what they are going to do at the 4 and 5 positions. Z and Wallace are too old. Smith is probably gone and wasn't that effective and Andy provides no offense and can't guard a true center.

The Cavs just could not stop the 3-ball. it seemed like every time a Magic player was open for a three, he hit it. and it was always a backbreaker. i hope the Lakers trounce them like the Rockets did back in 94 (or 95?). i just really dont like the magic after this series. at least the Lakers have Bynum to throw at Howard, or Gasol.

i read on SI.com that Ben Wallace is considering retirement. I didnt realize how old the Cavs with Z, Smith, and Wallace all pushing 34-35. and i dont think it's a big deal that LeBron didnt shake hands or anything after the game. eff the magic.

oh and a sure fire way to start getting foul calls your way, is to complain about them before the game. NBA officiating is fucking terrible.

Wallace retiring would be huge. They be losing close to $30 million in payroll this year. Maybe the Chinese company will just pay Z off the books to decline his option.
