i couldn't believe the magic pulled this out. lebron played a game that would have gone down as something special had the cavs won. instead, somehow, the
magic pulled that out. unbelievable. i thought it was all but a done deal when lebron went off and basically de-balled orlando in the first half with those two
blocks, dunk and 3 ball. then, mo williams hits that 70 footer?! fuck, i was like, "series over." what a game.

tim, that's what everyone there was thinking... i had a 6am flight this morning, so i left at halftime thinking the game was locked up. by the time i was
home and ready for bed, cavs were only up 2. so, of course, i stayed up for the nail biter.
great game, shitty outcome. mike brown might as well just bench Z for the rest of the series - he's too slow to guard the front 3 for orlando. ben wallace did a much better job at containment. i'd give up Z's offense any day to start to stop those guys. orlando was simply on fire the second half last night, largely driven by blown pick and rolls. oh well, great game regardless. hopefully the cavs pull things together |

Z had nothing on offense either, that was a huge part of why we lost the game, he couln't buy a bucket.

^ it would certainly be a laugh in the face of the NBA... everyone had written both of them off coming into the conference finals. i don't see both of them
winning, though.
but, stranger things have happened... |

i thought orlando would be a problem but the way they manhandled cleveland in the 2nd half was a real shocker.
however, i think that cavs will adjust tonight. some of the problems they were having in adjusting to screens, picks and rolls, etc. could be contributed to the 9 days off. against atlanta, it wasn't as big of a deal, but orlando is capable of moving the ball a lot more efficiently. that plus the constant inside threat of howard makes orlando a difficult matchup. having to deal with ray allen and big bitch davis would have been a lot easier. |

One of the Cavs biggest problem is that they need Lebron on both Hedo and Lewis.

i'm sure tele will agree, but the feeling in that arena was unreal. i am pretty sure everyone there turned and hugged someone near them. people around me
were crying.
i know it's just one game, but it felt like all the curses that have plagued cleveland sports over the years had just been erased. now we have our own shot BUT, last night's over and i'm still scared of the magic. Z did a bit better last night, but we still have no answer for the big 3. man, oh man. |

How was there no technical called when that guy threw the ball in the back of the other guy? what a joke the NBA is.

it could have been double technicals.
the refs have been really inconsistent in the playoffs (on both sides of the ball). calling a travel in the last minute when you haven't been making that call all day is pretty ridiculous as well. granted, he took about 5 steps, but you have to call it all game on all players. |

agreed about the officiating. the block they called on gortat in the 4th when it was clearly a charge, then later lebron came down a few times and got mauled
with no calls when earlier in the game he was getting every call like he always does. they have just been terrible

That is an all time top 10 shot. Depending on how these playoffs play out for the Cavs it could easily move into the top 5. Incredible.
How will Skip Bayless tear that shot down on monday?

It was a pathetic performance tonight by this officiating crew, they wouldn't let either team play at all. Dwight Howard was allowed to slam his shoulder
into Varejao twice and got fouls called on the D both times. Meanwhile I will say Lebron didn't get fouled on that late 3. Cavs killed themselves not
knocking down shots, Lebron was being an idiot refusing to go to the rim. Is he afraid of Howard, because he has shown he cannot be stopped by Dwight so I
don't know why he would be.
Winner of game 4 will win the series.
