Hasn't cleveland's brass learned from trying to low ball Boozer that they should just pay some guys what they deserve. On a side note, everyone close their eyes and imagine how impressive the Cav's would be if they kept Boozer. I'm most impressed with Orlando and NO's hot starts, Dwight Howard is a machine and CP3 is the best thing since sliced bread. The Celtics, they're 1 Ray Allen ankle sprain and a Paul Pierce stabbing away from being just another ordinary eastern conference team, though with all the other hot trash in the Atlantic Division, Sam Mitchell still playing with his line-up figuring shit out and Richard Jefferson still hiding in the closet in NJ, boston should still win that division even if they suffer any injuries to their big 3. I still put the Pistons atop the east, then Lebron and those other guys he plays with. |

Pay him what he deserves? They offered him 6 million a year reportedly. He wants 10. Danny Ferry even went down to Brazil to meet with him. I don't know
where he gets off thinking he deserves 10 mil. He is worse on offense than Ben Wallace, and that is bad.

Yeah, the guy isn't worth 9 or 10 million per year. He has some skills that don't reflect on his stats but not enough to get him to that price range.
I'm sure some shitty team would happily pay him that much money but the Cavs shouldn't. They already have enough dead money with Larry Hughes.

Do any of you know a site to get indivdual game stats from previous seasons?

Also, Deron Williams might be one of my favorite NBA players right now. I love watching Utah play.

They ripped up Boozer's original rookie contract to "reward" him. He was a 2nd round pick and not making what he really deserved given his stats.
So ripping up his contract made him a restricted free agent. The Cavs claim they did this with an "understanding" that Boozer would sign a long-term
contract right away with them. So Boozer became a restricted free-agent, got a huge offer from the Jazz and the Cavs couldn't match it without going above
the luxury tax, so they lost him.
He would have gotten that big offer the next year had this "side deal" thing next happened. They obviously were hoping to lock him into a 5+ year deal right away and weren't thinking clearly. Maybe that extra year w/ Lebron would have been enough to convince the Cavs he was worth what Utah eventually offered or maybe not. The deal they made to "fix" the situation was actually a very solid move. They traded Tony Battie and a 2nd round pick to Orlando for Drew Gooden and Andy Varajao. Gooden isn't Boozer but he's shown signs of excellent offense and looks like he's improving every year. They would be much worse off if they didn't have either player. Obviously, with Boozer, the Cavs could have put up a much better fight against the Spurs last year. |

Fegan's the one to make people think ferry was demanding something. he's a douche. and it's not that the cavs wouldn't pay boozer....he screwed them, by verbally assuring them (and the fans) he'd stay, and then he left and we couldn't afford him due to the luxury tax like telecasting mentioned. |

Watching Celtics/Knicks on TiVo. God, I love the mess Isiah has made of this once proud franchise (score currently 18-37 with 6 remaining in the 2nd).
Marv Albert gleefully gave a 4 minute summary of the Knicks season dating back to last year covering all the bases (Anucha Browne Sanders, bad free agent signings, contract buyouts, Jim Dolan, Marbury bolting the team, Marbury threatening to go public with the dirt he has on Isiah, etc., etc.) that was hilarious if it wasnt so pathetic. |

would have been the following year. I think it is funny that the Cavs use the excuse that they had a "verbal agreement" that he would resign when
such an agreement would have clearly been in violation of league rules (Joe Smith - T-Wolves ring a bell?).

the joe smith thing is pretty similar...only major difference is that in Joe Smith's case they had a written agreement while in Boozers (according to
Cleveland mangement) they had an oral agreement...both would be against the league rules.
