rangers won't win the series if they keep racking up the penalty minutes. but it was a good win and it's definitely going to be a back and forth

walkin, you have no idea what youre talking about.
if you think jose threeormore is half of what a starting goaltender should be, youre a blind homer with no hockey knowledge whatsoever. the caps were in the bottom of the league in goals allowed this year, brent johnson outplayed jose til he got hurt, and varlamov has been spectacular in each of his starts. theodore had a 901 save % on the season. hes fucking awful. i dont know what caps team youve been watching this season, but he has been the weak link since day 1. with your mindset, you probably think that the skins will win the superbowl every year and think that vinny cerrato is a great part of the redskins organization. and i really havent been that negative. just go to to the washington caps message board if you want to see negativity (i dont post there btw) listen to the caps radio post game show from after the game. every call or email was calling for theodores (and shultz's) head on a swivel. the caps are still a couple years away. alzner needs a full season up here, and varlamov is the future. so please, dont be so hostile, or just keep your hostility in la-la land where you think the caps can beat teams without having a respectable netminder.

I'm not going to sit here and say Theo is 100% good enough to get the Caps to the Finals -- he's too inconsistent. I don't think he's to blame
for last night's loss, though, and I also don't think he's awful (which, apparently, you do). I loved what I saw from Varlamov in the few games he
played, but you're naive to think that he can step in and give the Caps a better chance to win. People are so quick to react after a 4-3 loss and start
calling for player's heads... it's the same shit that happened with Jason Campbell (and in every other sport in this wishy-washy town). Everyone's
an expert and knows exactly what to do to win championships.
The Caps will be fine. They've played too well this season (and will continue to play well enough) to at least win the first round, that I can guarantee. Oh, and no, I don't think the Skins will win the SB every year. I'm not going to sit here and play the "I bet I know more than you" game, but I'd like to think I know a little bit about sports.

Last night was terrible. The passing was off, the intensity wasn't there, and I have to disagree with you, walkinparty - Theo lost the game last night. The
difference between the Skins and the Caps is that the Skins have problems all over the place. The Caps have everything else they need to win.
