Really excited for the young Blackhawks. Just curious as to how soon they'll be getting meaningful ice team. Kane, Skille, and Toews all will be great fun
to watch.
Plus I still think Havlat is one of the most exciting players in the league. I just hope he can stay healthy and they can get some scoring help around him. |

JSM i agree. and everytime i see your avatar it reminds me of my 1994 NY Rangers stanley cup video. Which i can recite every word of. The Eastern Conference
Atlantic Divison is stacked this year with the unusual exception of the devils. The Rangers gotta win it this year tho. they are clearly the best team in the
NHL

its not too early because the Ducks/Kings have to open camp next week because they have to play in fucking England.
Rangers-Panthers (Sens if they get Forsberg) out of the east Ducks- Canucks Canucks champs Crosby scoring leader Vanek MVP |

Rangers are going to be tough, but they're definitely lacking in 2 areas... The blue-line, you're gonna miss Nylander and once you get past the #1 and
#2 lines up front you have a huge talent gap... The cup will NOT go back to NY this season...it just won't with their D line and lack of depth up front. If
they do its because Lundqvist puts up a legendary season.
The west doesn't seem like much has changed to drastically alter what happened last year. I don't think Anahiem will repeat, but will go deep into the playoffs... The Wild have a lot of good young skaters and if our goaltending is solid and guys like Gabby stay healthy we'll be back in the playoffs and hopefully go pretty deep. Chicago is going to be much improved over last year... I expect to see Toews making an impact after the first 20 games or so, if not earlier. Why did they trade Vrabata for Adams? Nothing like trading your #2 scorer for an older much less talented guy? Where they trying to clear up salary or what's the deal Pens are going to be real tough, improving on last year's impressive work, they will go deep in the playoffs... Dallas will probably be a quick out in the playoffs like last year... |

Once he was given the chance to start he never looked back. |

I think Pittsburgh is going to have an awesome team, well they did last year so why not this year.....Philly made some good acquistions this off season, I am
excited to see how they fair...I agree that if Drury or Gomez do not click with Jagr then the Rangers are screwed with an unhappy Jagr....The third line will
have a 30 goal scorer and an up and coming rookie by the name of Ryan Callahan with probably Peca centering, and the fourth line played some good shut down
hockey towards the end of the season...The offense doesn;t bother me...The defense may very well be an issue, however Marc Staal is almost guaranteed to make
the squad out of camp and he is supposed to be promising. Lundquist is also missing a backup which could cause troubles down the road, because Valliquette(no
name AHL goalie) is not that good. It is going to hopefully be a fun season.

Backstrom helped me a ton in Fantasy, I had both guys as well... Harding is a fantastic backup guy as well...
The Rangers gotta win it this year tho. they are clearly the best team in the NHL Why the hell people are saying this I don't know... Again what do they have for defense, that and you get past your second line, 3 and 4 don't look good...who do you have on those lines? The Penguins are more solid all around...They'll come out on top of the Atlantic. Eastern: Atlantic-Pittsburgh Northeast-Ottawa (I think they are trying to get Forsberg too...) Southest-Going to be UGLY, I'm guessing here, but I think Tampa will come out on top, Atlanta has gotten worse this off-season Western: Central-I think Detroit, but chi-town could be a sleeper... Northwest-It'll be close again between the Wild and Canucks...I think this is the year the Wild stay healthy and take control of the division. Pacific-San Jose...I like their chances... Dylan, why is this going to be a long year for you? |

He's 26 and your #2 scorer...move him to center and make him work a bit more... It just doesn't make sense to me to get rid of a guy who's getting things done somewhat to replace him with an old guy who's not getting jack shit done... You are right, its never too early to talk hockey... Inside College Hockey is doing their annual one guy you need to know right now... They take one guy from each team, not necessarily the best guy, but just the gy you need to know...good stuff. |

They are hoping to find ice time for the young wingers.
The Hawks weren't the first team to give up on him you know... |

I know he's bounced and I understand the ice time issue... But they clearly traded down, not even down a little... The got a guy who has 6 years 200+ games
and probably 70 less points... It just doesn't seem like they tried to get more talent or even a deal that's a little less lopsided...

Detroit wins the Central. Nashville chokes on their cocks down the stretch and into the playoffs.
until i see my fantasy roster (and get to defend my crown), i couldn't give two shits less about anything else. |

chicago is going to be better but still won't make the playoffs (although give them 2-3 years and they will be near the top)
ny rangers are not going to be the 94' rangers they will be more like the pre salary cap rangers who paid a shit pile of money for overrated overpriced players who will ultimately underperform. Here's my bold prediction for them, unless Lundvist stands on his head they will miss the playoffs Stanley Cup Final- Detroit vs. Toronto (here's to hoping anyway)

I think Detroit will be tough, but not a cup final team...
I'd say Pittsburgh or Sens v. Wild or Canucks in the finals I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to see a Pittsburgh v. Wild finals... It'd be like back in the day between The Pens and North Stars... That being said, I've been called hoops dreams many of times in my life... |
