I can't really say much more than has already been said - but I'll echo what Ed said. Seriously - if you were around the guy for 5 minutes, it was
impossible for you not to be doubled over laughing at some point. As the pictures being posted can attest - I don't ever remember him not smiling and
having a good time. The only memories I have of him are some of the funniest moments of my life. This community will definitely miss his humor and energy.

I'm still shocked about all that happened. I'm very lucky to have been able to get to know Jordan very well and to call him a friend. I'll always
remember him as a person who could walk into any room and own it. I have some great memories that I will always remember him by; Gorge, Everfines, NYC, many
concerts, road trips, Oxford, etc. He touched so many people with his warm smile and funny jokes. I remember when I moved back to Chicago and I saw him at
Cubby Bear he just jumped on my back so happy to see me. I was just out with him last week and it won't be the same not having him around and not being
able to travel with him anymore. Jordan loved OAR, Pub24, break dancing, and all of his friends. We truely lost a amazing guy yesterday and I'm very
greatful that he was apart of my life.
RIP Jordan! I'll miss you buddy!! Slide Show of Memories Jordan Break Dancing at PigFest 2005

We'll miss Jordan greatly. Everyone who was lucky enough enough to meet him knows how badly this hurts. It's weird to say it's been over 4 years
since I met Jordan, but we've gone to a boatload of shows and board events together since then and it was truly a pleasure to be around that kid. Nobody is
kidding when they say he was the life of the party, he could keep us all in stiches laughing for hours at a time.
It's a shame because I know he was pumped for the upcoming shows this summer and until something else came up recently, he had planned on attending Red Rocks with a large group of us. Board gatherings will not be the same without JWho around. Marc, thanks for taking notice and for giving the Summerfest show to him. He would have been there for sure. We miss you buddy. |

To the guy that called me "Big Snout", I'm going to miss you tremendously.
I echo Carrie's post - we all knew years ago that this community had built something special. It started as a great way for people to connect and share the same taste in music, developed into small friendships of folks who went to shows together, and has ended up as a community of some of my closest friends. Jordan was a big part of that. The first time I hung out with Jordan, he was a teenage kid tagging along after a HOB show. Even then, he still was able to win the hearts of those around... He was the guy who pushed poo dollar at shows, the one always willing to break dance for kicks, and one who could make anyone laugh with random screams and jokes. More importantly, he was the one who would give anything to help anyone. He was a special guy who had the world at his hands and I am truly saddened by this loss. Some of us were talking yesterday about how hard this hit us. I've had others close to me pass on, but this stings in a different way. I think it's because I feel like I've grown up with some of you and seen you do the same. We've built a community of friends and this loss puts a big whole in that. I will miss you Jordan. RIP breakdancing ninja

I'm at a loss for words that can adequately express JWho's loss. He's survived by his parents and 5 siblings he loved dearly, his girlfriend Traci
who he loved just as much and a vast amount of friends. Speaking out of grief aside, Jordan was something special. Many of you may only have known him through
various rhetorical postings it seems, but anyone who met him would know that the man on this board and the man in person were not the same. He had that special
ability to draw everyone in and make a personal connection on a personal level. I've posted the link to this thread on his myspace for his friends and
family who might not really know the extent to which jordan really affected people. i know here and wherever we were for a show were but a pocket of his life.
I'm going to miss his laugh the most. I loved sitting around with him trading jokes back and forth, he was a comedian's best friend. His laugh was the perfect epitome for the way he lived - nothing was held back, everything was given and you could tell the stupidest joke or the funniest joke and the only difference would be whether he doubled over or not. I met Jordan initially through this board 5 years ago and we came to find that we had many mutual friends in the real world and our friendship spanned beyond o.a.r. and this message board. I literally dragged him, it seems, across the country chasing O.A.R. from state to state, coast to coast these past 5 years. I'd forgoe logic and always appeal to where I knew I could hit him, his heart and his mind: "Jwho, dude, you never know what's going to happen. You can't put a price on memories, Jordan. You have to go." the last time i actually saw jordan was a couple weeks ago at a bar up north by him. i convinced him and traci to come out to blarney's island and hang out with me and my friends but when he got there we just sat on these stools in the midst of this raging bar and talked for an hour straight like we could always do. he loved that bike of his. and i'm not a fan of motorcycles, never have been, and i was hammered and railed on about not being stupid and wearing a helmet and how other drivers are more of a problem. he just laughed it off and said he was careful and that it was nothing. and i busted his chops for deciding to go to red rocks then deciding not to and i told him, "i love you, dude, but you're a fucking dickwad for missing it." and he just laughed like he always would. There are almost too many snapshots of the past to even begin going through: 1. Marchtober - he forgot his tickets in Grayslake after driving practically an hour. Had to turn around and get them, drive back and we arrived late and missed a killer pre-party at Ed, Liam and Fighty's place. Me, Tom and Stu were giving him shit all the way there and all he said, "Guys, we have all weekend. Fuck sleeping." Sure enough, he didn't sleep a wink all weekend. Me, Ed and him stayed up through both Friday night and Saturday night bullshitting about our lives (we didn't really know one another at the time, not like now anyhow) and listening to music like a group of ADD kids rifling through Ed's music. 2. FBTE '03 - in what became a tradition, the idea of sleep was thrown to the wind for mass board gatherings. Me, Jordan and two of Tom's friends manuevered our way up onto the roof. Found some boarded up stairway and Jordan ripped off the plywood covering the window, we climbed and found an abandoned part of the hotel. We quickly nicknamed ourselves the Death Camp Crew because that place looked like a Death Camp jail. We then spent all night on roof drinking until sunrise talking about shit like what superhero you wanted to be (he was Daredevil). Then went back downstairs for continental breakfast at 6am and then stayed up til 8 or 9 playing indian poker for drinks in the hallway until we all literally were passed out like a bomb went off, right in the hall. 3. FBTE '04 - His breakdancing skills had landed him a 2nd audition in You Got Served (one or two, can't remember) in St. Louis the same weekend as FBTE '04. Yet somehow I managed to fuck it and come with me. Again we get to the roof and this time ran into a locked door barring us from the roof. Langerwang from here wanted to go back down and said something like, "Looks like its the end of the road, fellas" to which Jordan responded with a "what lock?" and judo-kicked the door breaking the lock and causing it fly right open. It was pouring sheets of rain down but that kick demanded we run out on the roof in celebration and fuck some random shit up. 4. FBTE '05 - jumped off a fence and right through a folding table like he was trying out for the WWF. Then spent all night reading passages of the bible to me, Didia and Hadgis and somehow managed to make it the most ridiculously hilarious shit. and we spent the better part of the next 20 minutes whipping phone books, trash cans, and whatever else wasn't nailed down through the dark at one another. I slept in the closet that night. 5. FBTE '06 - his karaoke version of Biggie's 'Hypnotize' in a shithole Cleveland Bar named Tina's Nightclub literally brought one woman to her knees. and prompted her gay brother to proposition him, or so i told everyone. 6. MSG 2.0 - again, i convinced him to buy a ticket last minute, make a 2 hour drive home from ISU at 2am and crash on my couch for 3 hours before flying to NYC for the dvd taping. he managed but was exhausted and unlike me, who fell asleep in 3 or 4 places in the hotel before finally making it back to our room, he went straight back to the room to crash. I busted in on him and wouldn't let him sleep, talking shit about his being weak and before I knew it, the guy pounced like a puma from a sleeping position, picked me up over my head and chucked me like a ragdoll. I flew through the air in a fashion that would have made Kerri Strug proud before crashing into the wall and crumpling. I couldn't tell what hurt worse, laughing or the wall. 7. Pigfest '04 - that video of him breakdancing was taken in the Paff's garage at about 2am. Ed and I are supplying the nasty beats for him to get down to. I think we made him breakdance everywhere we went - "oh yeah, you know Pi to the 897th decimal? my boy here can spin on his fucking head. get that shit, J!" and he would, always. 8. The Gorge - easily one of the best weekends of my life to date, there's too much there to even begin. the one memory that stands out the most was when our group went around travelling from camp to camp and just randomly talking and shooting the shit with people. we stopped at this one camp of 20+ people around a fire and the next thing you know jordan and i start going off cracking jokes and pretty soon we owned the place. and it just started with jordan simply going, "hey, you guys heard about that AIDS?"..."yeah, that sucks" even now I don't know why it was hilarious but it was, he killed with that joke. sarnovsky tried bringing it back all weekend but to no avail. it was a moment and something that only someone like jordan could deliver in. i think hadgis has that entire campfire segment, and most of the weekend, on tape. watching that video of him breaking is tough, and that video of the gorge might be even tougher, but i can't wait to rehash it all even now. there are countless others to come, i'm sure. everyone has their own story or stories about jordan. i'm spent. all i've got is pics. i loved that kid. let him rest in peace.

the situation.
