If robbins goes unsigned through FA and I can resign him for like $3 million I'll be happier than a puppy with 2 peters. That's a heckuva lot of talent
that is going to be out there next year.

Yeah next year, offensively, it's going to be a very good year.
Bryant & Watson are aging, but still very good at what they do, depending on what they ask for. Hernandez & Robertson are elite. Luis is a great C, with incredible durability. Robbins & Peters are both very good, as well. And there were a lot of other bats out there that I didn't list. |

I have a lot of decisions to make this year about signing extensions for my pitchers. Right now I have just $6.9 million total on the books for next year
which is crazy. I could offer C-Ram a max contract no problem.
All of the following pitchers are FA next year for me and they are all willing to resign if I want: Armando Roque Henry Mackowiak Johnny Cordova Stan Saunders Eric Corino Walt Spooneybarger If the tie-breaker for max deals is previous season's final record I could be sitting in pretty good shape for a possible Ramirez in Colorado Springs celebration next year. |

I'm going to re-sign Robertson. He is willing to take about $600k less than he is making now for 4 years. In fact, maybe I should just lock that up now
before I forget.
I was kinda surprised I could grab Shooter Taylor this late. He's a year removed from a great season, and was buried on Charlotte last year. Maybe people saw the 6+ ERA (4 innings) and that was it. Not that I'm expecting him to be great, but he should be a solid bullpen arm. |

I was waiting for Shooter to drop another $500k and sign him. Oh well.
Max Hernandez will be a free agent as well next year. joe.bader@gmail.com AIM - badercubed www.badercubed.com

As dominant as Ramirez is, I just don't know if I'm at a point with my franchise that I can justify setting aside $20 million a season towards one
player ($30 million for one season). I have a lot of expensive guys locked up already for the next 4 or 5 years.
As of right now, I don't even think I'll be a player in the Ramirez sweepstakes. I enjoyed my 9 years with him, got my 2 world series, and now I'll focus on staying good for the rest of this leagues history without rebuilding. Of course, if I fall off like 15-20 wins from last years total with essentially the same team minus Ramirez, Mackowiak & O'Toole, I'll very quickly change my mind about going after Ramirez. |

Sorry Logan, I completely fucked up with my draft settings properly and didn't end up picking anyone. Hopefully you can still get something worked out for
Ortiz.

Yeah sorry to hear. But don't worry about it, I probably wouldn't have been able to give you someone comparable anyway. I ended up grabbing a guy who
won't be as effective as Ortiz but has much, much better control so he might be able to stick in my pen this year.

fury - if you're going to trade Nixon I'd post it in world chat - you'll solicit some better offers I'm sure. |

I don't think I want to though. PVC came out of nowhere, a la benny for the past 2 season, with an offer.

ST sucks, but it can be fun. I try to get as many people as possible 20 at bats. I think last season I got like 24 guys 20+ at bats. I'm constantly
shuffling things around, playing with stuff. This year I'm focusing on the pithcers more, too. I want all 8 of my starters to get 10 IP, and see if I
can't get 20 or so relievers to get me 5 IP.

God I can't wait for Thursday. I really have no idea what to expect from my team this year. I lost a lot of talent in Ramirez, Mackowiak, O'Toole &
Hunter, and I didn't really replace any of it other than with spare-parts & rookies. But I still feel like I have a very good team.
I'm about to find otu if I really know anything about this game at all, or if Chris Ramirez & H-Mack were just guiding me for 9 seasons. |

Nice job bader. Got way more for Hernandez than I thought you would. That C is gonna be a stud.

He originally offered me Payton and Hideo Chen. I told him I was going to keep him, but when Mulder went down, I figured I would throw something out there.
Honestly, I was surprised he took it because I think both relievers will be useful ML bullpen arms. Also, I am glad I got the trade done before Hernandez, and
his 41 heath, went down for the season.
