To be quite honest, im fine with them not doing any
other covers. I don't want O.A.R. to be labeled as a
"cover band"
As good as hey jude, Like a Rolling Stone, and other songs are, Keep making new songs...they are all fantastic If they were to make new covers, make them as outros or intros to songs like stir it up and no woman no cry |

call it cliche and it would add to the dave and oar
rift thing that goes on amoung board members... but i
would love to hear them actually cover a dave song or 2..
i think it opens up for a whole mess of oportunities for
jerry, and rich, and paris (if he's here in the spring)
to shine... Crash for example.. mark has played the
begining as a teaser befor, no more then the first few
chords and the crowd has always erupted.
this is going to cause a ton of you guys to hate me im sure, but really think about the opportunity it brings for then to steal a great dave song and either completely destroy it to piss off the ants marching forum even more, or to have us do a jaw dropping moment.. ie when oar and "robert randolph and the family band" [ thats and edit im a moron and brain dead from finals] cover fool in the rain. Dave helped O.A.R. get a start to their career and
I think they know that unless it is an absolutely perfect
rendition they will kind of disrespect him...Good thought
on DMB but i dont see it happening

ya kno it be cool dont lie, i just wish they'd
bring back some of the stuff they used to cover..ie
bottle (fox trot zulu), redemption song, black, patience,
message in a bottle (police), iko iko, NAKED, burn one
down... you know em all i dont have to list them.
if you havnt heard the message in a bottle cover.. down load it, marc fucks up the lyrics a lot, but its a great song. AEKDB "I'm locked up, loaded down, short a

Those bands are LEGENDS of rock and roll and are known by almost any age and genre The O.A.R. crowd would love a Dave song but I don't think they should do that, they aren't on that level (because of still playing and have a certain age group.) |

They cant do a dave song.
HOWEVER.. maybe a lil Dave medley of songs would be intersting A Steve Miller Band song..possible Dance Dance or The Joker, fly like an eagle, Downeastern alexa was amanzing. Another billy joel cover should be in order. Free Fallin?..Jack and DIane. |

Covers are fun but I would much rather see them
bring back some of their songs or work on new songs. It
takes a lot of time and practice for covers (Spoke to the
band about it, they do enjoy doing them though). I would
love that time to be spent on songs like:
Ladanday, On Top Of The Cage, The Wanderer, Get Away, To Zion Goes I etc. and work on new material.  "Things may not come when you want
