Red Rocks Setlist Predictions?

Posts: 866 Jul 2 12 2:06 PM	Tags : None Well, now we all know that Red Rocks is the next live DVD/CD. Any predictions on a setlist? Here's what I came up with: Taking on the World Today Shattered Light Switch Sky Road Outside Columbus Dangerous Connection What Are The Odds? Toy Store Back to One Mr. Moon - About Mr. Brown Are You For Real? Program Director Heaven Destination Gotta Be Wrong Sometimes The Fallout 52-50 Over and Over Poker - No Woman No Cry Irish Rose Missing Pieces Anyway I based my choices on songs that have been on past releases- and songs we haven't seen in awhile that deserve a live release. I really think 'Hey Girl' and 'Love and Memories' will for sure be omitted from this next release. I also think they want to throw a couple of unreleased songs on this- and have one of them (What Are The Odds?) be a total shocker for true fans. I only created this thread because I'm interested to see what some of the diehards THINK will be played. This is NOT a dream setlist- this is a prediction of the setlist based on your knowledge of the band.

Posts: 921 Jul 2 12 7:32 PM	I think there's a very strong possibility for them to play "We Made It -> The Last Time" and "Wicked Storm -> 52-50." The latter wasn't on "Rain or Shine" and I know it's one of their favorites to play live. As for the other, I think that combo/song is one of the best sounding off the new record. I think it's also safe to say these "King" songs are locks: -Dangerous Connection -Over and Over - Gotta be Wrong Sometimes -Taking on the World Today -Heaven I would also consider "Are You For Real?" and "Road Outside Columbus" to be locks. As for the order, I'm terrible with predicting set lists so I will not bother. But I am looking forward to seeing what they came up with.

Posts: 921 Jul 3 12 3:05 PM	One thing that came to mind when I was thinking about this show was a possible cover song. Rain or Shine had "Fool in the Rain," and Any Time Now had "Stir It Up." The two in between that did not feature covers. What do you guys think about the possibility of a cover song on this DVD? If there is a cover, I got my money on "The Downeaster 'Alexa'". I think it's one of their better covers and it sounds really good with the horns. But another song I think should be on this DVD is "The Fallout." It wasn't on Rain or Shine and it's one of the better live songs off of All Sides. I also hope they go with the pattern of two previously unreleased songs. If they follow that pattern then I think the two songs should be "The Architect" and "Are You For Real?"

Will be on it...if its going to be a live release I don't think they'd choose a song they haven't perfected let alone one Marc hasn't written lyrics to. I personally like it a lot and every version I've heard only consists of the opening and "are you for love, are you for hate, are you for anything your heart can create" line that stays the same, other then that it's pretty much made up. Plus when I spoke to Jerry after a show during extended stay in Philly he told me its not even close to being where he wants it to be.
