OAR chosen as Gator Growl's musical entertainment GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The band "Of a Revolution" (O.A.R.) has been selected as the 2009 musical act for Gator Growl on October 16 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. OAR has been around since 1996, and is widely popular among all age groups. The band is in a classical rock/pop rock genre, and their songs are generally considered appropriate for the entire family. Some of their more popular songs include "Crazy Game of Poker," "Hey Girl" and "Shattered." The band has been touring nationwide, and recent engagements include a sold-out Madison Square Garden performance, a number of widely successful charity concerts and a live performance for Fox's coverage of New Year's Eve 2009 in Times Square. Joining OAR this year will be Dana Carvey, comedian. Since Gator Growl is historically a senior celebration, this year's program will include honoring the greatest senior class in college football history. Tickets are available online. Posts: 3 10/16/2009 3:36 PM	I can't wait for this show tonight!!! To have them playing in the swamp couldn't be more perfect for me. I've seen them four times allready in the last year, and I thought surely that I wouldn't get another chance for a while. I know it probably sickens all you buckeyes on this board but they will be playing in front of 40 thousand gator fans. I totally expect a great show and epic set list.

Posts: 4 10/17/2009 10:59 AM	1- love and memories 2- this town 3- about mr brown 4- lay down 5- hey girl 6- shattered 7- poker I was so bummed that they were only allowed to play seven songs, but they still killed it. It was not a normal o.a.r. show with all the older gator fans there who didn't know who they were. They were by their selves in the endzone and no one was allowed on the field. They were so far away from their fans that you had to watch them on the jumbotron to see them.I saw pockets of fans singing and dancing throughout the stadium and the student section was definitely into it. All that said lay down and hey girl was worth the drive over and I had an EPIC time!!!!
