'that was a crazy game of poker' mix |
Lead | ||
|
here's a mix i did of five different versions of 'poker' (in order: 34th and 8th, any time now, deeprockdrive, live from madison square garden, the
wanderer) blended together. i refrained from using versions that lacked sound quality. be patient with the blending of songs, the first couple are slightly
spotty but they get better, and at 7:30 is probably the best one. i feel like they're all timed perfectly but i wish the first two could overlap without
adding confusion. i'd love to read some feedback. feel free to post any kind of opinions whatsoever. i think it's cool to look at how their live sound
has changed over the time with arguably their most popular song. expect another one with 'hey girl' soon. many thanks.

Pretty cool concept, I agree that the transitions are a little rough though.

I loved the 730 transition, but the final one made me laugh....it was funny sounding, but in a good way. Real cool idea though.

thank you to all, especially regarding the 7:30 transition. i appreciate the feedback.
it's tough sometimes when i have to make sure vocals don't mix too much together (such as the second 'never to fall' from any time now to the first 'never to fall' from deeprockdrive. i obviously had to keep those away from each other) but i did the best i could. that's why the 7:30 one was much easier because it's just the same consistent bass line (my favorite bass line from o.a.r.). but yeah i really enjoyed doing it and i'm glad you all like it. i look forward to doing more during my boring summer. the last transition is pretty funny, i agree. it strongly shows 10 years difference, and i like it. very contrasting... i didn't notice it til i just listened again, and the drum fill in the final transition actually sounds like a continuance, they actually translate perfectly.

I really enjoyed hearing that, especially with the last transition. It was cool to see the current mixed in with 10 years ago. Nice work.

pretty cool idea, i would also like to see more, but i think it would be interesting to see songs transition in chronological order so we can listen as they
develop over the years
