not literally its on the waterfront
the stage used to be directly infront of the water but has recently been flipped so now the audience faces away from the water it is essentially a stage with and a pier jutting into the river its considered a "parking lot" because it is concrete and all standing its actually a really cool venue, the crowds not great (alot of drunk kids), but the band put a great show on last year |

Is it flat? When i google it, i get a couple of different pictures, some being very awkward looking setups that would absolutely suck for an o.a.r. show. As
long as it's big, flat, and GA it's acceptable.

yea its flat and big
straight back is the water with beer and food vendors its easy to get the first row or two too the crowd sucks but its a cool venue and a great show |

Being from Pittsburgh, I can compare. This venue is a lot like IC Light Amphitheater (without the roof.) It
is also a lot wider too, so you don't always get a dead center view.

Contrary to popular belief, the Festival Pier isnt that bad of a venue. Yeah the crowd can get a little rowdy/obnoxious at times but
you can get close to the stage (if you dont mind being smushed), there is a cool view of the BF bridge, and the guys always always seem to put on a great show
there.
I usually try to park in the garage at Dave & Busters and then hit Cav's River Deck (http://www.theriverdeck.com/) on the way to the Pier. Cant wait for Tuesday night! "The truth will set you free..." - Alex Rodriquez (2/9/09) |

^ yeah the river deck is a cool place, might have 2 spend some extra time there since it's going to be like 100 degrees out. Lookin forward to this
concert, but after seeing them in MSG idk how they can top that.

Amazing show. Three friends and I were first in line to get in. We got front and center. The whole band was energetic. I think Benj had the flu, so he
wasn't as into it as he usually is. There was a lot of crowd interaction. The highlight for me was when I gave Marc a pick that I brought, and he gave me
his in return. That was the craziest thing that ever happened to me. Also, after the show, I met Jerry. I told him how he was my influence to learn sax.
He lit up when I told him that. Crazy night. Awesome experience.
If O Block reads this, I'm the kid you met while waiting for Richard. I thought my name was Grux here, but aparently I was wrong haha |
