it's a great smaller shed where the lawn has no obstructed views and is totally chill with older couples/families/suburbia - not a lot of college age kids and high school drunks...nice for an old fart like me.

Great place for a show. The best part is you can sit outside and listen to the show at a near-perfect volume. I remember I saw John Mayer there years ago with
Guster (among alot of shows I have seen there) and there were probably twice the amount of people outside as inside, and it was sold out.

i totally bombed on that show. so pissed i missed it, but picked up guster a few years later. that show was packed. I live behind the fraze now, so for the
shows I don't get tickets to ($ or interest), I'll still go out on my balcony and listen while I grill out. I'm probably about 150 yards behind the
loading dock so I can hear just fine.

Man that would be a great place to live. Can you hear well outside on your balcony or does it sound jumbled?

it depends. bass-heavy shows are worse than the brass bands, country acts, etc. its not too bad, good enough i can make out the songs because it bounces off
the bleachers in the back of the lawn and it moves its way to my corner

That's cool. I would love to walk out onto my balcony and get free shows. I am really glad that venue is coming into its own. Speaking of their lineup, I
went a couple of years ago to "Bluesfest" and it was cool with Robert Randolph and Robert Cray headlining. I may go this year with Robert Randolph
and Dr. John. The year with Randolph/Cray, everyone in the venue was dancing by the end of Randolph's set, it happens every time I see him. He can move a
crowd.

Oh man, I was at that John Mayer/Guster show. Summer of 2002, right? I remember it was super hot and humid and it poured down rain right before the show.
Will, were you even old enough to drive then? Also, it looks like the Fraze got rid of their summer Latino festival. That one was always a blast. |

Meat Puppets were fucking sick last night. Great set. I got a decent amount of the set recorded in HD (thanks for the
open recording policy). This song has a sick jam about the 4 min mark.

I saw The Killers for the 4th time this past Saturday and Springsteen the week or so before.
In June I see Ballyhoo and 311. In July I am going to see Lewis Black (Not a concert but I'm throwing it in there anyways). In August I am seeing Coldplay (2nd time this year), OAR at both nights in Boston and at MSG. In September I am seeing U2 & Snow Patrol. |
