Posts: 2767 02/24/2009 5:13 PM	Tags : None So Lent starts tomorrow with Ash Wednesday. Gotta remember NO MEAT on Friday's and I'm giving up swearing this year. Tomorrow is a day of fasting too, thats okay college food is terrible anyway. I try to say the Novena at least three times a week and as bleak as these 40 days are supposed to seem, I cant help but be very excited for Easter. Anyone else religious? if not, its a good excuse to try to rid yourself of one of your vices by trying to give it up for forty days. Eddie Makuch. Video Game Journalist. Especially no meat on fridays... What is the point no meat on fridays?

Posts: 4622 02/24/2009 5:56 PM	^ back in the day, the pope's brother was a fisherman. so to boost his brother's profit, the pope decreed that no meat shall be eaten on Fridays during lent. or so i've heard. i'm giving up junk food and soda. since i am going to be laid up after my ACL surgery, i figure any excuse to give up extra calories is a good one. Although i'm not religious.
