that seacrest high five to the blind guy was ridiculous.
with the exception of emily the tattoed chick, and that 16 year old JB, both of whom were in the first 20 minutes, there weren't any good contestants on the show tonight.

I wish there were 8 American Idol competitions running simultaneously. It's the best show on TV. Anything you can easily gamble on successfully is better
than anything else that could possibly be on TV. Last season, you could pretty much tell that David Cook was likely to win all the way back before the actual
final rounds of 10 or 12. Well, he was selling for $6 / share and they paid out $100 / share on a win. It's not like it's that difficult to pick these
people either. Taylor Hicks was pretty much the same way.

the only point to watching the show is to see the ridiculousness during the tryouts. after the first couple of episodes, it's not worth watching. |

i actually get annoyed now watching the idiots who know they cant sing come and try out. i'd rather watch the biggest loser, which is exactly what i did
last night. i'll pay attention when they pick the final 12.

Yeah, I'm usually not a fan of the first few episodes. I'll watch the very first episode just because I'm happy Idol's back on. Then I'll
skim through the rest until they get to Hollywood.
Once they get to hollywood, though, it becomes a truly great show. |

i laugh at all the people who are so high and mighty and call the show crap. it's entertainment, people. and some of these people are actually really
good... sure, they make them sing cheesy shit, but it's actually a worthwhile way to see versatility.
i agree with tele - i've won big on carrie underwood, taylor hicks, the chick who won 2 years ago, and david cook. i think i bought david cook at $3/share early in the season. yeah, easy money... i didn't watch last night, but i'm not ashamed to say i watch the show. |

my wife. I don't like that bitch. She's on the show for 5 minutes and has to prove that she can sing. She's pretty cocky for someone nobody has
ever heard of. And I honestly don't think the bikini girl was that bad. Although she won't get anywhere because she is only ok singing. But she
deserves to get through for wearing that bikini.
