I bet he's the kind that "fondles himself while watching Swazye knock people out in Roadhouse" ($1 to the person who gets that reference without googling it) |

I'm interested in seeing what apps made your front page and why.
First row: Calendar- Live and die by it Clock - if I don't set it, I don't get to work Photos - I don't keep many on the thing due to lack of space, but I use that a lot because I take a lot of screen shots (see above) Camera - because I need a wang shot for the CL Second row: Calc- I can't add Maps - Top five application... beats the hell out of any impostor Things - App cost $10. The desktop cost a shitton more. Works beautifully. Iggy-Endorsed Settings - Donny's mom Third row: Bank 1 - Bill pay account - handy to have on front page Bank 2 - Spending money account - check this like five times a day iLog it - My Weight Watchers POINTS(c) tracking tool. Very useful. Google Reader: My most-used web-app Fourth row: AIM - Sometimes I need to hit up sharkey while on the can Tweetie - my favorite twitter client iTalk - a really kick-ass and simple recorder by Griffin iPod - this has to be here because I use my phone for music/podcasts I also like: - Weightbot - simple, nice, motivating - Mint - leaves a lot to be desired - Facebook - it's meh... got booted from my front page for tweetie - SpashID for iPhone - very useful password and information management - Shazam - I love this application - Pandora - I've found a lot of good music on this one too. - First30Days - I think that this is a chick website, but it has an inspirational article every day from the first30days website - TymeLynz - not free, but you set it to countdown the days till an event and can set thing to recur (e.g. check tires - 4 days and resets every two weeks) - FoodScore - not free, but useful if you're on Weight Watchers - Cipher - a very killer game. not free. - Public Radio - no iggy endorsement yet, but I love it. - Loopt - it's alright, but I don't have many friends using it so it's pretty useless for me - Mini Piano - free and fun to play with - Rimshot - I love this app (free when I downloaded it) - Sketches - I like this one... Skribble does the same, too
- Iggy

I finally got my iPhone. After I thought I got AT&T to drop the upgrade date, I went into the store and they said "hell no". Fucking customer
service. I just waited patiently for another month. Well worth the wait.
Destroys Blackberry in every category but email. Once I get my mail moved over to an Exchange server and can get push, I don't even see Blackberry winning it that category either. |

No, I got my old phone at the end of April '07 and was eligible at the end of December '08, so it's 20 months for the iPhone. You can still get it,
but it's $200 or so more without the upgrade discount.
The story I got from AT&T was the AT&T is under contract with Apple on those terms. They will generally allow you early upgrades on other models but are contractually obligated with Apple to force the 20 month rule on the iPhone. I found this out after going through a few levels of people. Initially, I convinced a CSR phone rep to allow me an early upgrade but when I actually went in to buy it, I ended up standing around for an hour while people were working the phones to figure out if it was actually allowed. I think there is still potential for shady deals to happen. Had I been more than a month out, I might have tried to get them to give me like a $200 credit on my next bill and I'd just buy the iPhone for full price. I think that's the most feasible workaround but you'd have to find someone willing to do that. |

Jailbreak it....takes about 10min...you can get every single application that apple puts out for free within about 2 days of it coming out...i just put a sweet
nes emulator on it with about 60 games or so...and you can get some pretty cool themes for the iphone that lets you change all the icons and what not

my cousin's husband jailbreaked his (first I've seen in person....really cool themes and things).
I'm off to get my 4th iphone next week. This model is the 2nd refurb I've had (1st refurb was an automatic lemon). Network drops for substantial periods of time and delayed texts/voicemails for an hour to a day. |

Pandora is the best thing to happen to the iPhone (besides 3G). Sim City for the iPhone is amazing too.....its basically the entire version of Sim City 3000.

All right, I'm sold. If the store is open on my way home from the office I'm getting one. I'm then gonna get out of my car and throw my current
phone into Lake Michigan.

Yes. For 6 months it was the best phone I ever had. For the last month I've wanted to not only get rid of the phone, but potentially destroy everything
AT&T and Motorola related.
So how much should the Iphone run me? I need the phone, a case, and a car charger. (Assuming it comes with a house charger, if not, add that too). I don't think I qualify for any discount cause my phone is only 11 months old. |
