Ok cocksuckers, I am getting the new iphone at lunch today provided they have them at the store and I don't have to wait. I wasn't eligible until 7/3,
but apparently I am now eligible some how. What do I need to buy with it? I got the incase slider case from my sister for the birthday, so do I just need a car
charger?

i don't have a car charger, don't have an overwhelming need for it (i don't use it as an ipod though).. plus the new iphones have longer battery
life. def need antiglare or screen protector

Well the wait continues as no one seems to have one here and the only way to get it is to order it and have it shipped to the billing address. I don't get
anything shipped home because I'm never there. This blows.

clearly at&t doesn't want you to have an iphone
change your billing address to your work address |

it HAS to be shipped to the billing address? can you designate it as a gift and have it sent to a different address, like your work address or something?

You can only send it to your billing address. No gifts, no alternate addresses, no nothing.
I can't because I get my credit cards billed to the house. I'm not gonna change my phone address and my cc address just so these assholes can send me the phone. |

OK I only read the last couple pages so sorry if this has been discussed, but I'm considering the iPhone vs the Pre. Everything I've heard about the
Pre is that it operates just as fast as the iPhone. It doesn't have an app marketplace yet, but they'll be opening it up for 3rd parties soon like
iPhone did. I can get a lot cheaper plan with the Pre. Why would the iPhone be so much better? If the hardware and OS really is better, is that coming from an
actual source or from an Apple fan?
One app that I'd like to get is the Sirius app. That alone might make me go with the iPhone. I haven't done my research on it but I believe it's only a few bucks per month right? Jam_On is available on it right? What I did gather from the last few pages is that I currently have a Q like Greg and I hate it. The 1980s brick phones would be an improvement.

sirius has all their music stations and many of the other channels. it's missing mlb and stern.
what software is better is going to be a tossup, honestly. i like the interface of the iphone, but the pre does offer multi-threads, which is a one up on the iphone (apple says it's for battery life, but somehow palm integrated it without much an impact?) i'm fairly certain the pre will never have the app marketplace that the iphone does... RIM released the blackberry market and it's complete shit. tests have come out that legitimately show the iphone as faster than the pre, but probably not that noticeable to most people. they're on the same chipset, but apple added a new graphics set which put it in the lead. at&t network is, by design, faster than sprint. but, again, you probably wouldn't notice it that much. also, have you seen a pre live? those fuckers are HUGE! the footprint of the iphone is enough to make me buy it over the pre... pre is 40% thicker than the iphone (.67'' vs. .48''!) |

Cool thanks for the info. Yeah I've tried the Pre in the store and I like the feel a lot better than the iPhone. The shape fits your hand better. I think
the iPhone is a weird awkward brick. I also like the pull out qwerty keyboard in the Pre.
But the Sirius app might be the dealbreaker.

Iphone is ordered. No exact delivery date but they think about 7 days. |

I like the feel of the Pre better as well. It is thicker than the Iphone, but it is smaller and less of an "awkward brick" as Rob said. I
wouldn't expect anyone to switch to Sprint just to get the Pre, especially since Verizon and ATT will be getting them by the end of the year. Since I
already have Sprint and have no service issues in my area, I will probably end up getting the Pre this week. The Synergy feature is intriguing, though I have
read it still needs work, and GPS with turn-by-turn voice prompting is included (minor perk). Plus, service is only $70 a month.

So since my incase slider came yesterday, but no iphone yet, what do I need to buy to put over the screen of the phone? I thought the slider would come with
something, but it did not.

greg - 2 viable options
a. invisishield b. at the apple store, they make these crystal screen covers... really helps with the smudging (though, the 3GS supposedly has an anti-smudge coating. then again, so does my new camera and it smudges like a bitch) |

Ed Paff Jr wrote:what does this include? Cost per month is my biggest issue. i was pricing out plans on AT&T's site and it says unlimited data/web browsing is 30$ a month. Unlimited texting is another 20$, and then a 450 minute, free night and weekend plan is another 60$... am i missing something? |
