Only cause I had to type it twice since I wasn't logged in.
Rob, I know it isn't news, but this is the first time it's actually been documented. I don't care, I hated him even when he was here. |

If there ever was a poster boy for year he is on the roids, it was sammy sosa. Bonds does come in a close second though. The best part is, Sosa needed to cheat
twice to be good. Roids and corks.
and FLM please keep everythiing in CDT, thank you. |

caught some Sportscenter highlights on Monday night...did Fielder really get robbed of a Grand Slam at one point in the game, then later in the same game come
to bat with the bases loaded again and hit the Grand Slam? That game looked like it would have been a hell of an exciting game to attend.
on an unrelated note, i went to see a reds game at great american recently - they were playing the cubs and i'm pretty sure there were FAR more cubs fans there than reds. sad. |

Today is consecutive sellout 500 for the Red Sox. Only the 4th team in any sport to do that.

not really a big deal. most teams sell more tickets than they do. i hate stats that dont really have a reference point. thats like saying the chair that
i'm sitting in is sold out.

The reference point is that for the last 500 games (which is 6.1 seasons), they have sold out every ticket (usually are at 110% capacity). It may be a small
ballpark, but they've added seats every year and are now more than 6000 seats larger than they were in 2004.

The Red Sox are just the fourth pro franchise ever to reach 500 consecutive sellouts. The other three were NBA teams, including the Boston Celtics, who packed
the Boston Garden 567 straight times from 1980-95.
The Celtics stand second in pro sports to the Portland Trailblazers, who logged 744 straight sellouts from 1977-95. The Chicago Bulls sold out 515 straight games from 1987-2000. joe.bader@gmail.com AIM - badercubed www.badercubed.com
