pretty much anyone that showboats gets under my skin. the larger the ego, no matter your skill, the more i'm going to dislike you. case in point: manny. i
think he's a total tool and can't stand the man.

i have no problem with him putting his bat down and picking up dirt. its the taking two steps towards the pitcher, that would make me put it in his ear. and I
would be doing the same thing with that talent.

the pitcher on my mens team (aka crazy) always rubs dirt on his hand before each pitch.

I love showboating. If the other team doesn't like it, stop them. If you hit a walk off homerun, round the bases waving your pants over your head for all I
care.
The only time I dislike it is if it's meaningless. If you hit a bomb that cuts the lead to 14-1, put your head down and run around the bases. However, if you help your team win, celebrate and celebrate well. |

I believe beaning the kid in the head is a good way to stop them from showboating.

I dislike showboating in baseball... but in other sports I can see it.

i have no problem with it if you single handedly just won your team a spot in the world series or something but trying to show the other team that every time
you step up to the plate it's 'your plate' and you dominate the field is more than excessive. intimidating the other team is one thing, being an
egotistical ass is something completely different.
and i agree with fury, beaning the kid in the ear a few times will do the trick. |

Of course it will. I would always throw inside on anyone that did that.

i love Manny. i love it even more when he showboats after hitting a bomb with his team trailing 14-1.
i can't wait for him to come back. |

I miss Manny tremendously. He's easily my favorite non-phillie in baseball, and even when including the phils into that discussion, he's probably still
my favorite player.

The just pulled Randy Johnson in the 7th inning with a 2-1 lead. I'm watching on MLB Network,

i've been watching too. i was sure the bullpen was going to blow it for him in the bottom of the 8th.
now it looks to be a done deal. i couldn't pass on seeing, perhaps, the last guy ever to win 300 games. |
