But it looks like he rejected it (pussy). He is really fucking over Padres, but thats his right with signing the hometown discount deal with the NTC.
I wonder what is up Kenny's sleeve now after that horrid game today.

you are dumb. he has a guaranteed contract until 2012 and a 2013 team option worth $22M that would have been picked up if the deal was made. IIRC, the contract
pays 15, 16, 18 from 10 to 12.

I agree with you on that (the San Diego >>>>>>>>>>> Chicago for nightlife, weather, babes, etc.) But to win, the White Sox are
his best option right now. The Cubs have no money and no flexibility with the sale to get him, plus no farm system (which is why they didn't get him in the
offseason). The Astros are going nowhere fast. The Braves might be able to deal, but I don't think they have the minors to satisfy the Padres. The Padres
are dumb if they deal him into the NL West. If Peavy is really scared of the AL and the DH, then Boston and New York (Yankees) are out. The Mets maybe able to
piece something together, but not holding my breath.
I think Peavy to White Sox comes back in mid-June, but with the Sox only sending 3 prospects (instead of 4) to San Diego. |

How do the Sox have cheap management? They have one of the top payrolls every year. The only reason it seems cheap is because all the money thrown around by
the other "big market" clubs, say the Cubs, Yankees, Red Sox, Mets, etc. The Sox offered Fukudome (thanks for not taking it by the way) more money
then the Cubs, but he wanted to play in Wrigley. The Sox had the highest offer on the table for Tori Hunter, until the last minute when LAA came out of nowhere
by all reports. There are things the Sox don't do, say sign pitchers to long term deals, but thats not cheap. Thats playing the odds. All reports, that I
have seen, say the Sox weren't going to pick the the $22M option as it is, but were ready to restructure it to defer some of that $22M over the course of a
few years.
And the price for Peavy can't go up. As stated above, everybody else that may need him, do not have anything to work with. Plus everybody knows the Padres need to get Peavy off the payroll and fast. So teams are not going to offer their best packages for him. The Padres actually thought the Sox package was the best out there. Now all other teams can come back with one smaller than what the Sox were offering, saying since you can't sell this dollar for dollar, here is 80 cents. |

Soriano's bruised left knee bothers him sometimes when he swings the bat, he said, but it won't keep him out of the lineup, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Soriano also said that his knee has nothing to do with the two-week slump he took into Tuesday's game in Atlanta. ''It's not the problem,'' he said of the 6-for-48 (.125) skid . ''It's because I'm swinging at bad pitches.'' duuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. thanks for clearing that one up. |

If you knew joe I highly doubt that you would believe that. its an easy cop out to say oh he can only be that good if he's on steriods. phewy, we are
talking about a guy that was the High School player of the year for the entire country, and was offered a full ride as a QB to florida state (which is still
open to him). They guy struck out 1 time in 5 years of high school baseball.
now if he ever comes out positive I'll eat my words but I highly doubt that |

Joe Mauer does so much steroids that he can't even use a syringe. He needs the Ronco Food Injector.
