well, if the angels fall apart here, losing k-rod etc and get some injuries, the A's might be able to compete?

im interested to see what the yankees do. all of the radio stations and papers are saying theyre going to go on a spending spree but cashman wants to let the
farm system develop; and that's supposed to be his first priority.

Why, the Yankees have had sooooo much success signing big price tags that do shit for them when it matters? Why bother building your franchise around young
home grown talent? Teams never achieve success with this formula. Oh wait, that's right, the Yankees are ring less since 2000, the year before they
started hemorrhaging cash for big names. There is nothing wrong picking up free agents that make sense for a team but shit, with that bank roll and talent
pool, it is inexcusable when they miss the playoffs. Maybe Hank, Brian, and whoever else runs that circus should take a page out of Philly's or
Tampa's playbook, even Boston with as much home grown talent they have running all over the place. If the Yankees spend big, which they probably will, I
will lose all respect for the once great franchise that is being run to the ground.............With that being said, I hope the Phillies retain Moyer and Eyre.
It would be nice to see Burrell back but with the price he's going to demand, the Phillies could platoon a solid righty with Dobbs (better average and
fielder then Burrell) or Jenkins.

AS a Mets fan i, there was a rumor brought up that Minaya was going to trade Heilman for Sonnastine. I would be very pleased with that. The two players i want
this offseason are O-Dawg Orlando Hudson and Brian Fuentes. That would shape the team 100x's better.

There are a few teams interested in Heilman, most want him as a starting pitcher. Rockies, Cardinals, Cubs, Rays and Diamondbacks from what I hear. Hopefully
the Mets do get rid of him I think he could become a very good pitcher but I don't think it's going to be in NY he needs a change of scenery.
