amazing weekend. phish was on fire from the 2nd set night 1 till the end of the 2nd night
1st night 1st set pretty was pretty good. water in the sky and fast enough for you were nice surprises. 2nd set was where it was at though. best Punch, Light, Possum and YEM i've heard live. totally jammed out. 2nd night i like wilson as an opener more than its typical late 2nd set slot. kept the jamming going through the 1st set and into rock & roll and ghost. Rev i agree with what you said about torn and frayed on your site, its a great song for phish to cover. first ginseng sullivan since the reunion, and alburquerque were cool covers. pissed that i had to miss dirt and antelope (friend decided to take 3 doses and freaked out, had to baby sit him). jammed out rock & roll and ghost, and then they just started having fun with the set. heard 2001 in 5 out of 7 shows, but is always welcome, since the energy of the crowd and band sky rockets. Axilla encore was an awesome, and first time they've played it since '04. I love phish. |

multi night runs in the same venue are where it's at. had so much fun.
I was really happy with that.
suzy into 2001 was allsome. they played axilla to close the encore because someone was holding up a sign. great way to end the show.

charlottesville was great. BEAUTIFUL town. would go again.
weather.com said it wouldn't start snowing until the afternoon on saturday but when we woke up at 6am in knoxville there was already accumulation. snowed the whole way to C'ville. Got there in time to catch the first half of the SECCG and then went the show. JPJ arena is incredibly nice. The only line that I had to stand in was the id check line. everything else was like a minute or less. Some schmuck in the bathroom was complaining about having to was 45 seconds to use the pisser I laughed at him and told him he obviously wasn't at Cincy where I waited a total of an hour in the bathroom lines over the course of the weekend. Show was great. We got a some cool covers Bold as Love, Funky Bitch, Loving Cup. Tweezer>Light>Piper was allsum. Antelope to close second set. Still trying to figure out NYE. Tickets that I thought I had fell through so I'm trying to ebay the 31st or I'm not going. I don't want to go down there with that ticket. |
