I doubt any legal recourse is available for your competitors. If it was public information that was readily available it will be tough to prove damages on their end. Additionally, there is a legal concept that removes employer liability if the employee was acting outside the scope of their employment. That scope, however, is fairly broad. I do not think there is a ton of law on blog posting and whether that falls underneath the scope of employment, but my best educated guess is that her posting would be outside the scope of employment.

If the company is looking for legal recourse against her, it depends on state law and her intern/employment contract. Again, I highly doubt that your company can prove damages if the information was available to the public. If she has a non-compete clause in her contract (which I doubt since she is an intern), some of the non-compete clauses include language that limits the employees sharing industry related information outside of the workplace, even if the information isn't proprietary.
