OAR live taping for HDNET and AOL in Atlantic City |
Lead | ||
|
I didn't see anyone else post this so I thought I'd give the Atlantic City folks a heads up. I can't copy and past the announcement but it's
posted on OAR's myspace page. I guess the pre-sale is today at 9am and regular tickets go on sale tomorrow morning. The taping is October 25.

Thanks in advance!
And on a note that actually replys to the thread. I can't access myspace from work, but that sounds like an awesome thing and will be great exposure for the band! Wonder where I will be on October 25th? I might just have to make a business trip to Atlantic City...

FUCK YEAH!
I will definitely be going to this... The presale was supposed to start today (8/8 ) at 9 AM but of course the Music Today website doesnt have it up yet (http://oartickets.musictoday.com/OAR/calendar.aspx) General public sales start tomorrow (8/9) at 10 AM on Ticketmaster (http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0200410700497E60?artistid=705403&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=60) Tickets will be $42 - $47 (not including Ticketmaster's bend you over the table fees)..... Some info I found about "HD Net's Hard Drive Concert Series" (source: http://www.pr9.net/ent/music/8567july.html) :

HARD DRIVE will feature performances by today's hottest modern rock bands who have influenced today's popular music. Each 90-minute episode will focus on a specific artist. Artists scheduled to participate in the series include some of the most renowned names from the world of modern music. Edit: Or rent a car at the airport in Philly..... its only like 60 miles from the airport to AC.... "This is a song we recorded, umm... 1999 maybe... down there in DC. Its called 'Short a Try'... it would be a 20 min train from the airport to 30th street station, then maybe an hour long train from 30th to AC. I have only done that once though so I could
be off with my times.
The HOB in Atlantic City is awesome. Its really nice and its relativly small so it should be a cool place to see the band. For people from Philly area who haven't been to the HOB, think the Electric Factory but MUCH nicer. |

Damn, I want to go to this but I don't know if anyone will want to come with me. I've also never been to the HOB and I have no idea what seats to get.
I can't decide if I want to do gen admit and try to get up close or get actual seats.
