Posts: 135 Aug 9 11 2:28 PM	man I feel like a rookie after hearing how many shows all you guys have been too! this will be my 9th show and 7th at Merriweather! can't wait! O.A.R. should hit the stage yes right around 9 give or take 10 minutes or so.

Posts: 121 Aug 10 11 1:55 PM	Should be a good show. I didn't even realize the show is starting THAT early. I'm so used to the 7pm opening act and OAR going on around 9. Usually they go on at 9 and off around 11ish. I think its a sound law to the surrounding areas in howard county (county where Merriweather is located in) that all acts need to be done by then. Can't wait though.

Posts: 2 Aug 10 11 3:31 PM	My brother, his girlfriend and I are taking the 3.5 hour road trip to Columbia MD this weekend to see O.A.R. at Merriweather and although my brother and I have been to over 30 shows in the past 7 years, I don't think either of us are as excited as we are for this one. I have a feeling it's going to be the best one we've seen yet, although I'm not sure if any one song can compare to the version of Crazy Game of Poker they did back in '04 at Bloomsburg Univ. That was supposed to be my first show but I was sick, so my friend made me the live CD and when I heard their 18minute song doing Crazy Game / No Woman No Cry w/ Michael Franti, Spearhead and Radio... I was blown away and in love with Marc and O.A.R. ever since!!! I can't even imagine my excitement if I heard that again, maybe this weekend, haha. My brother wants to hear Earthward, and it seems Heaven has been stuck in my head the past few weeks even though I'm also a HUGE fan of all the older songs. I am determined to figure out how I can be one of the lucky fans who get to meet them, from the pics it seems a lot of people get to, and it would be my dream come true! My birthday is Sept 8th, hint hint! LOL, just in case anyone wants to send a few backstage passes my way!!!

Three awesome bands in one day is going to make for a great concert. Too bad you can't make it but at least you know your mind is still right on in these things. I'm just wondering what would happen if O.A.R. finishes off the set with a great crazy game with some maybe SOJA joining on stage for some of their song Revolution jammed in like they did with Little Brother freestyling at the Patriot center a few years ago and even a face melting triangle solo or even VACO coming up for a face melting washboard solo. Then to top it off an encore that starts with Marc coming out doing some Don't think twice it's alright redemption song, and then the band comes out for taking on the world today, city on down, conquering fools, wanderer, king, and this town. I just wonder how the crowd would be on the way out after a show like that. ETA: Since I'm dreaming I thought I would add a playing of ran away to the top of the world today jammed into to Zion goes I during the body of the set.
