Their front office is also laughable and they have an overglorified image of their franchise.

no i never said Lebron told CC his future plans. CC was asked if he thought Lebron would end up in New York and CC said he thinks so. All i said was it gives
me hope

Don't count out the Hawks kraut, I've heard they've offered Lebron a max contract, 1/2 ownership in Coca Cola, and his own record label. Sarcastic
face.

thidwick15 wrote:Hopefully our front office was laughable and of course they have an overglorified image of their franchise... - They are one of the most historic / iconic teams in the league - They represent the greatest city in the US (some would argue the world) - They are most valuable team in the NBA (according to Forbes) I will be pretty surprised if Lebron is wearing orange and blue next season, but I also don't think that its completely improbable. Its obviously one of the teams on his list and he is going to get paid regardless of where he chooses to go. Its good to be King... Dear Lebron, pleeeeeease come to NY..... Nice beatdown the cavs delivered at Orlando. Even if it was against a shorthanded Orlando team. Best the Cavs looked all season.

This may be the first real sign that the end of the world might happen in the 2010s....
J.J. Redick's Got A Rap Album
The group doesn't have a name yet - Redick mentioned "Sub-Par," "Afterthought," and "No-Profits" as possibilities - but they have their first single. Or most of it, anyway.
The song is called, of course, "Waste Management," and he hopes to release it by the end of the year, with an album to follow. May I suggest some potential titles? •Dukiestyle

Knicks are considering Iverson. I say go for it, this year doesn't matter anyway. And maybe he help us get our 2nd win...

lol coming from the Tenn guys? Grizzlies lol. I mean at least there is a franchise here that has some desire to win. Maybe Lane Kiffin can coach the Grizzlies?

my opinion is that there are only a few likely organizations that make sense for lebron, that is if he wasn't bullshitting when he said he only cares about
winning championships. they would basically have to meet the following criteria:
1) legacy - lebron is likely cognicent of this moreso than any other superstar in the past 10-15 years. either he does what MJ did and builds cleveland into the a dynasty or he pursues that legacy elsewhere in the form of a big media market with deep pockets. viable options here - cleveland, new york, miami, chicago and los angeles. boston is out because they don't have the cap space. chicago can make space for lebron. miami will have the space and the room to possibly threaten building a team around not only james, but a resigned wade AND add bosh, too. new york and LA will, or can make, the space. 2) they have to be a piece or two from a championship. this takes knicks out of the equation because they are years away from being competitive. even if they cleared enough to sign both bosh and james, that likely wouldn't enough to get the job done. if miami can get james, bosh and wade all under one roof, they might as well hand them the trophy a la 08 boston. chicago makes sense only if they find that missing dominant low post player (as they have been for the past 3 years). otherwise the situation in chicago is really no different than what he's got in cleveland. the clippers aren't even a consideration as long as sterling owns the team. the lakers could shop a lot of their young talent to make space for james and a nucleus of bryant, james and gasol easily delivers 3-4 titles in short order. i dunno how feasible it is that kobe and james play together but they suppossedly get along and so long as james becomes a man possessed like kobe, there'd be no stopping them. problem is, james has yet to prove he's a killer like kobe or mj. he has his moments, no doubt, but night in and night out he is not the force that either of those guys are / were. not yet anyway. but what do i know, i'm no expert. i would love for james to come to chicago obviously and threaten the crown that MJ wears. but if that doesn't happen i hope he just stays in cleveland and builds that franchise up and retires a cav the same as the bird and magic did and jordan should have done. |

LeBron is not going to Chicago, that's just crazy talk. You think he wants to play/live in the shadow of Jordan? if he does that he will ALWAYS be compared
to Jordan. and i'm sorry, but nobody, not even LeBron, is taking "the crown that MJ wears"
LeBron and D-Wade are going to the same team, that's my prediction which i know is far out there. And i really dont think money matters to LeBron. I agree with you that LeBron is more concerned with his legacy than any other NBA player of the last decade. Obviously he's not going to accept a 1 million-a-year-deal, but i also dont think he's going to want the moon, i.e. $20+ million a season. Especially, if he can sign to a team with D-Wade, i'd almost bet the farm he signs on the "cheap" just so the two of them can play together without breaking the team's salary cap. i think it's hilarious that i keep hearing "cleveland can offer him the most money". how much more can they offer him? 10-15 million over 5-6 years? that amount of money means nothing to LeBron. |
