Posts: 12503 07/02/2009 1:51 AM Tax Man	Love the Madden signing. He'll play the 3rd line centre spot, and a lot on the PK, and move Kopecky to the 4th line. All in all, I think the Hawks end the day a better team than they began the day. Best of luck to Havlat and Khabbi. It was a hell of a season and I'll miss you both. Nice to see Matty Walker play his way into a nice contract as well. Good for him. He was a stand up dude for his time here and contributed much better than I thought he would. Would like to see him work on his skating in the summer and play some big minutes down there next season. Can't wait for schedules to come out here in a couple weeks. FYI, still actively looking for New Years' Day tickets for Fenway. So if you know someone, hook me up.

Can't wait for schedules to come out. Hope the Hawks play Minnesota on Opening night up there and you have a ticket for me. So excited! Can't believe that Gabby got $7.5 per from the Rangers. Seems much after all the other signings. Will be interesting to see how the Heatley thing plays out too. He was rumored to be heading to the Rangers as well, but I guess not now. Heatley is a stud as well.

Posts: 16613 07/02/2009 10:11 AM Captain America	I'm bummed Madden is gone. He's not a good 5 on 5 player anymore, but he's still fantastic on the PK and a great locker room guy. At 36 though, I think it was smart of the Devils to move on. Gionta to the Canadiens doesn't bother me for the Devs, because since he scored 49 goals a few years ago, he's forgotten how to score. Only 66 goals total in 3 seasons since he scored 49. At $5 million/per, he's better off on someone elses roster. Of all the Devs losses so far, I'm most bothered by Rupp signing with Pittsburgh. He's a great 4th line/role player, and still relatively young.

My friends and I had a blast doing a road trip to a hockey game this year. Greg, I already told Karl, I might try to get my friends to a road trip to Minnesota to see Minnesota play Chicago, just so I can see what it's like in another arena. It'd be cool to meet up with you guys for some drinks if you're up there for a Hawks game. ~ Brian

When the schedule comes out, we plan on buying tickets for Blues @ Chicago and Blues @ Detroit.....Detroit is easy, no one cares about hockey there until April..but I've heard Blackhawks tickets are becoming one of the harder tickets to get Matt Walker is NOT worth what he's getting paid....that being said, more power to him...he was always a grinder like defensemen here, wasnt sad when he left though. I just wouldn't wait too long to get tickets. They sold out every ticket in the building for the whole season last year. So although they won't go instantly, they will most certainly be sold. Now that I am just about done with my baseball stadium tours, I'm hoping to do all the hockey arenas. Hope to come down to ATL if the Hawks are in town on a weekend Scott!
