It's not like every song off of All Sides is L&M or Shattered. There are some jams on there. I've seen countless interviews of different band
members where they say they enjoy the music they're putting out there so how can anyone argue against that.

OF course they wanted to get a couple tunes for radio play to increase their exposure a little.
I feel like they did this album to satisfy all OAR listeners... new and old... putting old tunes on there as well as new and evolved sound. I see it as a segue into an album of even more evolved but similar to older stuff.. like we have seen with wicked storm, sun gonna pick me up, are you low... and maybe even tonight maybe a Big comeback. So this new and catchy stuff is gonna get the attention of more.. then they will throw some classy stuff in our face to make us all happy again. thats just my two cents - dont judge |

Anyone who think All Sides was just a weak attempt to get radio play is ignorant and I pity them greatly. This isn't Dave Matthews Band, Marc and the guys
actually care about their fans enough to put 100% into every record. If you would pay attention to how their music has grown since The Wanderer, you would see
it has become increasingly better-produced and more mainstream. All Sides was an obvious step forward after Stories Of A Stranger. And more recent live shows
like MSG in 07 have the band using sounds very similar to All Sides. If you'd pay attention, you'd realize even the classics like Crazy Game of Poker
and Black Rock have had a very different sound than they used to.
All bands grow and change. Do you really think after over 10 years of being a band, they still want to write songs about Poker games? You should consider yourself lucky they care enough about the fans to play the classics, although I'm sure after hundreds of shows they must get somewhat tired of them. All Sides is the band's natural growth and maturity, and it is not actually that far off from all their other music. What Is Mine and Living In The End are songs that sound just like the classics, and the whole album is filled with new influences and their classic style mixed. I'm tired of all the bashing. Since the album came out it's always been a war between the fans of the old stuff and the fans of the new stuff. Well I love it all. I find All Sides to be just as brilliant in every way as every other album they've made.

forever. O.A.R. is certainly different than they were 5-10 years ago. fact. if you don't like how they've grown up, just move on to a band/musical
genre that suits you better. i know i have.
