I take the Red Line to and from work every day, but not in that area. I also had to do some running around after work, so I drove home today (and much later than usual). My wife was hit with some delays, but nothing compared to some people (I heard it took as many as 3+ hours for commutes that are normally 30 minutes or so). Scary shit. I always get easily aggravated when sitting in a tunnel and stopping and starting because of a train ahead of us on the tracks, but now I'll just sit and be patient and not worry about it. I can't imagine how the train operator of the car that hit the other didn't know there was one in front of her.
