IMO there will not be arush you should be able to get the phone a few days later.
remember how it all went down when people bought the iphoena and tried to sell them? not good apple had good stock also this 3gs is NOT THAT big of a need to upgrade like the difference from the origonal to the 3g. greg wait till july 3 you'll be fine. if not you can call me up and bitch me out. ps get a macbook pro while you are there and becoem an apple geek all at once. thank me later when you realize how you should have done this years ago. by by

i agree, there will be a line day 1 but 3 weeks later and you will be more than fine, also definitely get a mac. I got one a year ago and it is well worth the
money

my mother wants to upgrade from her razr to either a BB or iphone (since her firm now supports iphones in the exchange server...don't really understand
that stuff)
i'm tempted to get her to buy a 3gs and then swap with her without her knowing :sneaky. |

that could be true... it's "enabled" on the phone by defualt, but at&t must not be supporting it. at $20 a month for unlimited messaging,
they sure as hell better be offering it as part of the package

I've heard that they can actually activate mms per account, so you can try calling and bitching.
Only thing holding me back from buying new iphone is the difference in service map for 3g between at&t and verizon. It's a huge difference. |

ed, i haven't had an issue... i have 3G everywhere i go. most of my clients are in real cities these days, so that could help, but i bet 90% of the places
you go will have high speed.

And even if you aren't getting 3g, you can still get online and such just with slower speeds on the EDGE network? It appears that a lot of the mountain
states have very limited 3g.

yeah, edge is what the original iphone was based upon. the modem in the 3G/S just switches over to edge if no 3G is available. for that matter, it will even to
GPRS if no edge is available (though, that would be painful for anything other than email)
