That's why i'm frustrated with the GOP. I don't like the Dems approach, yet I hear very little coming from the GOP. Granted, the media wouldn't probably trumpet their ideas, but it'd be nice if they had some. that's not totally fair. various GOPers have some tax holiday ideas or had better ideas when it came to stimulus. For instance, lots of the $ going to fish hatcheries and whatnot could have been spent on highway construction. I'm ok with that spending, that helps me move through downtown Dayton a helluva lot easier. obama just made a strawman out of the GOP. it was either Obama's plan or 'do nothing', which was never, ever, EVER what the GOP suggested. edit - "Nothing is not an option. You didn't send me to Washington to do nothing" :frustrated. |

He's pretty much right. Nobody besides Gingrich is legitimately stepping up and offering other ideas. Everyone else is bitching and moaning and all the
attention is going to those doing that (which is mostly the suddenly chatty Chaney, Palin, and the right-wing commentator freaks). It's awful for the GOP.
I see why they want Obama to fail because that's the only chance they have right now of getting rid of Obama. Nobody from that party is competing on ideas
- just wishing for the other guy to fail.

Tax cuts would have done nothing to solve the current issues with the economy. Look how well Bush's stimulus worked. Actual tax cuts, not stimulus checks, brought the economy out of the post-9/11 recession in 2002...dipshit.

The mainstream media just chooses not to report it. There have been alternative stimulus plans, budgets, and healthcare. Obama just chooses not to listen to them. At the very mention of tax cuts, Obama resorts to "I won the election, my vote trumps yours" They are just starting to toughen up though as the US gets tired of obama's crap. They should be more conservative. At the end of the day, most people will agree with convervative principles than libs. Just 6 months in, and the Pres is already getting hammered. being) doesn't seem that bad. I don't buy into the keynesian economics' deficit spending, and a free economy comes naturally with growth and
decline over a long time. We're screwed over having to pay for the however-many-billion-dollar stimulus package.

Step 3-Take a majority stake in the auto companies Step 4-Organize an agreement in which the unions get a huge stake of ownership in the new company..one where they have no right. Step 5-Consider your campaign funds "paid back" courtesy of the US taxpayer as they enter bankruptcy. Step 6-For good measure, include in the agreement a ban on importing cars made overseas.
