An FYI to all you locals:

Live Nation is charging a ridiculous $12.20 "ticket fee" PER TICKET when you buy tickets for this show online, making the total per ticket cost = $47.20

If you go to the EFC Box Office in Bala Cynwyd and pay cash, they do not charge any fees, making the total per ticket cost = $35.00

The EFC Box Office is open from 10 AM - 3 PM, Monday through Friday, and is located in the "Bala Pointe" Building at:

111 Presidential Blvd, Suite 111
Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004

I think you can also buy tickets for this show at the TLA on South Street, but I'm not sure if they charge a fee or not...

I always do his for any show in Philly that doesn't require me to be online instantly to get descent seats. I'm in the Bala area a lot so it just makes sense.

Festival Pier is a horrible venue. Lets have a show in a parking lot!

I agree completely with the above statement. Festival Pier is absolutely terrible, why can't we just have another Tweeter Center (now Susquehanna Bank Center) show? This will be my seventh concert, and I don't want to sound unappreciative, but the Festival Pier concert last summer was by far the worst i've been to. I really can't stand this horrible excuse of a parking lot they try to disguise as a "venue."

True the venue is basically a parking lot, but it's location is pretty cool and the band always shines in that place with amazing sound and lighting production, should still be cool. Carrie and I will be there.

I agree on basically everything said above. It's a terrible venue, but for whatever reason the band makes the best of it and puts on a damn good show.

i agree with everything said too. I remember the 1st year they played there the stage was right by the water which i thought was cool, i wonder why they switched it around

I want to say it had something to do with the sun being in the band's eyes? I'm sure enough acts complained about it that they switched it?

i don't mind the festival pier all that much. maybe i'll try to make it out to this show. last year at the pier show i found $60 laying on the ground

There is talk of he new soccer stadium being the new summer concert venue. It is going to be a seated arena that is going to hold about the same size as tweeter. That is in Chester, another amazing neighborhood.

Does anyone know generally if the showtime is 7 PM, what time Oar will go on since Brett Dennen is opening? Do they usually hit the stage at 8 or later?

I'm trying to figure out what time I have to leave work.
