NONE. A $2,500 fine and that's it...
My opinion on it is this... 1.) It wasn't Walker's fight (it wasn't a fight even, it was a shoving match) to begin with. 2.) He comes in and takes 1 cheap shot, gloves on, while ward is tied up with Cullen. 3.) Ward OBVIOUSLY isn't dropping the gloves... You can't just jump into a fray, drop your gloves, and throw a haymaker to the guy's face. Walker does 3 things absolutely wrong in the situation and I think the punch is pretty egregious in the fact that Ward's hands are down, gloves on... Walker's move is something I'd expect out of Crosby... He should be done for the series, at least. BUT him not being out means I def. want to watch the rest of this one. |

yea, i did and i agree with him fully. Brashear got a 5 or 6 game suspension for an interference hit. Walker's was worse.

The Walker "punishment" is an absolute joke. Carolina's owner is all buddy-buddy with Bettman, so I am not surprised this is the result...
Disgusting...
And what is even more disgusting is Coach Maurice's comments and laughing about the situation when asked about it by the press after the game. He's always been a douchebag, so I am not surprised. Where is his fine? He's a real tough guy to say shit like that when he doesn't have to step foot on the ice. The best thing Boston can do is come back and win the series...and I think this incident may have fired them up enough to do it.
