i was counting the times i went... probably around 50 now (went every weekend for 6 months when i was working on pet project out there). i actually had a vegas
cell phone number with intentions of moving out there, but we had some ownership fallout issues with the company, so i decided not to risk it.
i didn't do the touristy thing until a couple years back.. before that, was always up in the burbs (summerlin) or at our office off strip. |

TI has the best buffet, imo. And like I said if you plan on going back to Vegas in the future, The Freemont Street Experience is not neccessarily a must see
thing. I think the show is every hour on like the 45 minute mark.

Jon, I have never been to an Indian Reservation Casino. All depends on where... The one I mentioned is in our Downtown area... back in the 80's the town had some economic issues and turned a block of downtown into reservation and took a cut of the indians earnings (which they still bitch about, conveniently forgetting that without the deal they wouldn't be making the millions of 'take home' off of the casino that they do. I don't go there though, that's the part of downtown white people get stabbed for being in. There is another one about 30 minutes away that is on a different reservation have done a really nice job with that is as good as any casino I've been in (quite a few) although you can't drink outside of the bar area. Fortune Bay casino near my cabin is a fantastic res. casino with a hell of a golf course and drinking on the floor... Now that I think about it, I've never been to a non-reservation casino, but can't see how they'd be any different from the Vegas ones, other than in size... But there are some of the rinky-dink reservation dive casino's that I wouldn't step foot in. in North Dakota they have charitable gambling in the bars, so we played a lot of blackjack in college...I guess I got my fill

I did the Stratosphere, Fremont, checked out all the different casinos on the strip, went to some clubs, etc. You can't really do that at an Indian casino. There it's pretty much just gambling and booze (which you can't even get at all of them.) It's actually kinda depressing looking around at some of the mopes there and realizing that they've probably been there since yesterday morning. But I've had fun the few times I've gone to casinos in Wisconsin with friends to play poker or black jack.

My husband and I went to Vegas last year for 5 days. We had a great time. We stayed at the Mirage. Room was nice. We were only in our room to sleep and
shower..
We did the touristy thing.. We loved it. Can't wait to go back. |

The Wynn's buffet was amazing. I'm generally against buffets, but the Wynn's is an exception...

My parents go to Vegas 1 to 2 times a year. They only stay at the Wynn. They love it there.

Agree, Overrated.
Depends on how much you like to walk around and drink. I find it hard to carry all the free street porn they hand you. We had to buy extra duffel bags. |
