But my buddies and I were checking out the DVD, and when after I feel home was played they interviewed the band. They were talking to Marc about the future. Its funny how he was talking about 5 years down the road...Well, that was 2003---------> Fast forward to 2008 how do you guys feel about the band now. The hardcore people I want the honest opinion. I feel these guys have come a long way. I don't care if people want to dog their new shit, but its the best for them right now. Anyways keep rocking to these guys...They will always live with me and my buddies from high school and college forever! Yeh, sounds dumb! But the true fans know what I mean. by the way VOLZ that was me 2 years ago that brought up "heard the world" idea to the 5 yr anv. I never had the chance to tell how flipping awesome that was dude. I have boys overseas and that meant a lot to me and everyone on this board I'm sure. I thank you! Rich from Buffalo, living OAR for 16+ shows tkae care guys try to be nice to one another! I've seen them there a couple times, and at the Meadowbrook this past summer. I'm planning on going to the Hampton Beach show and the Tweeter show in August...

Sure, there is a longing for the drunken nights in college at a show with only 100 other people, but as a band, they can't stay at that level or they would end up nowhere. Bigger venues = more money = more toys (lights etc) = more new music = more fans ...if someone offers you a life, take it...

Posts: 92 05/08/2008 4:01 PM	Hey Rich I'm from Buffalo NY too, well actually Williamsville...welcome! This is how I feel. I've been a fan since 2004 and haven't stopped listening since. Of course the older stuff is nice, such as The Wanderer, Soul's Aflame, and Risen...probably their best work! But as a band for 12 years you have to work towards something, you have to progress and produce new music, and honestly I'm fine with that. For awhile I got scared with SOAS in regards that the guys were becoming too main stream, but in the end i think it was worth it! The old stuff is what drew me in with all the reggae beats and story telling lyrics. My first song that I ever listened to was Nightshift, and still to date one of my favorite songs. I think we all just need to relax and wait till All Sides comes out and see what type of stuff is on it. I saw What Is Mine in Buffalo last year (I'm sure you did too!) and that reminded me a lot of their older work, which got me really excited when I found out it was on the new album. But then I heard this Town and I got scared with the whole distortion guitar lead in the begining...but now I'm in love with the song. Just as Marc said they are heading back to their "roots" as a band, so I'm not to worried.
