Nice... Yeah I had some Nugget Nectar last year from a firkin. I'm not sure if its the same stuff or not as this implies it is a special recipe but it was damn good. Based on other Troegs events I would expect the special keg to be either one of the scratch beers or a barrel aged version of one of their normal beers. Either way it'll be a good time. Make sure to talk to the Troeg's rep Nick Johnson. He's a cool guy.

I'm there. I was at their first firkin event a few weeks back with Lancaster Breweries Hop Hog. This one is gonne be a good one. The wife is driving me home this time.

Good call on all of them. Troegs is in my top 3 of favorite breweries. Happy as hell they are local. The tour is awesome and the scratch series is really cool.

like I said, its good if you are in the mood for a particular style and nothing fancy. generally on tap now at most of the non "beer-bars" i go to, so its a good alternative to the usual Boston...

Scheduled for the weekend of August 20th to 24th. We do need to hook up for a beer, but Friday night and Sunday night are the only ones free. Family wedding on saturday. Hopefully going to the Sox game on the 20th (I even believe its Elvis night, so my beard might turn into Elvis chops at that time), so after that the wifey and I can probably get dropped off by my parents (yes I said my parents) or take the red line up and meet you in wrigleyville if you are up for it. Lagunitas is apparently making a double of the something something ale. Can't wait for that. I had my first run in with a firken a couple weeks ago. Craft Ale House had a firken of Lancaster Brewing Hop Hog. That was damn good.
