A lot of people that bush caused all the deficits that obama inherited. Bush can't spend a dollar without congress' approval. And the dems have controlled congress since 2006. So you can thank them for the HUGE budget deficits for the last 3 years.

Obama likes to blame the economy for his spending, but he'd be doing it anyways.

Obama is funny cause he says he welcomes debate on things...but you realize that he only likes discussion if it's around his idea....

You don't understand how this works dipshit? Under normal circumstances, companies that can't remain in busness go into bankruptcy and secured lenders (creditors) are first in line for repayment.

Under the obama way of doing things, he takes ownership via bailouts....then gives unsecured creditors (unions) majority of the ownership of the company while givng secured lenders next to nothing.

Well, when you're stimulus money is allocated to create government-funded projects that require WORKERS, you can easily show that the output is jobs. Anyone with thinking capacity greater than a jellyfish could reason that out, but it's probably too difficult for you.

well seeing as deficit spending, bailouts, and company takeovers don't seem to be working, doing "nothing" (as you have suggested the GOP stance being) doesn't seem that bad. I don't buy into the keynesian economics' deficit spending, and a free economy comes naturally with growth and decline over a long time. We're screwed over having to pay for the however-many-billion-dollar stimulus package.

That's why i'm frustrated with the GOP. I don't like the Dems approach, yet I hear very little coming from the GOP. Granted, the media wouldn't probably trumpet their ideas, but it'd be nice if they had some.

The GOP has put out alternatives to every plan that obama laid out. The mainstream media just chooses not to report it. There have been alternative stimulus plans, budgets, and healthcare. Obama just chooses not to listen to...

He's pretty much right. Nobody besides Gingrich is legitimately stepping up and offering other ideas. that's not totally fair. various GOPers have some tax holiday ideas or had better ideas when it came to stimulus. For instance, lots of the $ going to fish hatcheries and whatnot could have been spent on highway construction. I'm ok with...
